In some industries, peristaltic pumps are often used when using fluid transfer equipment. The pump consists of three parts: the driver, the pump head and the hose. The liquid is transferred through the hose. Hose is a reverse, dry, low maintenance cost, popular place. The pump is easy to use, but many customers do not know how to improve pump efficiency. Then we will talk about the question.
How to improve the efficiency of a peristaltic pump?
1. Pump depends on fluid and transmission compression hose. You can extend the service life by loosening the pressure block when the pump is not running to make the hose in its natural uncompressed state.
2. When selecting the pump parameters, the theoretical flow rate is greater than the actual flow rate and is typically in excess of 30%. Because the pump tube is soft, the generated negative pressure and discharge pressure are small. Some of the actual flow is lost if the liquid is conveyed or the length of the pipe is constant. Thus, the theoretical flow should be slightly higher than the actual flow to achieve the required flow.
3. There are various types of peristaltic pump hoses such as imported hoses and domestic hoses. The hose of the pump head must have good compression elasticity and tear resistance from high abrasion. Dedicated hoses can save replacement time and increase pump uptime.
4. Care should be taken to clean the pump case and hose debris while using the equipment. Since the peristaltic pump is a precision instrument, the hose is crimped mainly using pressure rollers. If the hose is damaged, the influent fluid attaches the pressure roller and pressure block to change the compression gap in the pump head. Even small changes can cause premature hose wear and affect pump usage.
5. When selecting a model, the pump speed can be reduced to less than 300 times per minute, assuming the flow rate is met. The flow rate of the pump is determined by the speed of the pump wheel. Too fast rotation increases hose loss. So, you can choose a pump with a larger diameter and lower the pump speed.
6. The inlet of the pipe should be as short as possible, and the joint and diameter of the pipe should not be less than the diameter of the stack pipe attached to the pump head. The suction of the pump is caused by the bounce of the pump tube. If the pipeline, especially the inlet pipeline, is too long or too small in diameter, the suction end resistance is too large and too much resistance blocks the rebound of the pump tube, resulting in greater actual flow loss. Likewise, if the outlet tube is too small or too long, the pump discharge pressure is usually small, so if the discharge resistance is too high, the output flow rate will decrease.
7. When using the pump, check the hose regularly for wear. The hose is a fragile part, so if damaged it will leak. Therefore, you should check it regularly.
8. When choosing a peristaltic pump, be aware that the liquid to be transported will corrode the hose. Since there are many types of liquids to be transported, there are no hoses that can withstand all liquids. Therefore, you need to determine the type of liquid yourself. Talk to the refutation technician and choose one.
